Fox declines to apologize; Sharpton says anything less is unacceptable:
"'I think that Mexicans and African-Americans and Latino-Americans need to be on the same side on everything,' he said, adding in a later telephone interview with The Associated Press that the two will discuss business and educational relationships when Fox visits the Harlem neighbourhood of New York."
All Americans, regardless of color, should be on the same side, ya freak.

BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR ANNIVERSARY SUNK BY POLITICAL CORRECTNESS (EU Rewrites History)
According to a newspaper report on Sunday, organisers of a re-enactment of the sea battle next month have decided to bill it as between a "Red Fleet" and a "Blue Fleet", rather than Britain and its French and Spanish adversaries. This is being done to avoid the embarrassment of assembled French dignitaries at the event feeling humiliated by watching their nation routed again, The Sunday Times said.
Oh b-rother.

'Extreme Makeover' Builds Home for Fallen Soldier's Family (ABC TV Show helps)
More interesting than Saddam's undies...
ABC's hit TV program "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" this weekend will feature the show's design team building and furnishing a new home for the family of a soldier killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The family of Army Pfc. Lori Piestewa, a soldier who died during the opening days of the Iraqi war, recently took ownership of a new $500,000 house north of Flagstaff, Ariz., that resulted from the effort.
A team from the Extreme Makeover program designed the sprawling home and furnished it in a southwestern motif. A two-hour season finale, to air May 22, will feature the construction of the home for Terry and Percy Piestewa, Lori's parents, and her two children.
I love this show. I don't watch often, but checked it out in the begiining as a dear friend does the makeup. It hooked me. And, pathetically, almost always has me bawling.

LA mayor-elect breaks with governor on civilian border patrols:
Well, that didn't take him long, or, as Gomer Pyle would say, "Surprise, surprise!"
"Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa said Thursday he opposes civilian volunteers patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border to discourage illegal immigration, putting him at odds with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
'We need our Department of Homeland Security, which patrols the border ... to address the issue of security,' Villaraigosa, who was elected Tuesday, told CNN.
'We have an old saying from the days of the wild, wild West ... leave your gun outside of the city limits,' Villaraigosa added. 'It doesn't make any sense for people to take the law into their own hands.'"
Well, that didn't take him long, or, as Gomer Pyle would say, "Surprise, surprise!"

FDR didn't give a damn about the Jews --- nor did the NYTimes, which brought Jewish self-hatred to a head long before the rubric gained popularity
:
"This book proves that The Times not only knew about the Holocaust but printed many of the horrific details. In the six years of the war, just 26 pieces made the front page, half of them in 1944, when most of the Jews were dead. And only a half-dozen mentioned that Jews were the victims."
How does the expression go... la plus que ça change...

Milking the Horse
: "Either that, or Laura confirmed she was on MoveOn's payroll. As it is, her description of her husband as a bore of a man who's asleep by nine each night should keep the Tina Brown/Maureen Dowds in business well into their retirement. "
Uh, so far all I've seen is rants from the Right. Have these people never heard of a joke? Yeesh.

Los Angeles Times Reports March Circulation:
"The Times has taken the following actions:
* Launched a comprehensive $10 million consumer marketing campaign, including brand advertising and direct marketing efforts.
* Appointed a veteran newspaper circulation executive to a newly created position of senior vice president, circulation to focus entirely on circulation sales and distribution.
* Began executing new circulation programs to grow late-week circulation and Sunday readership."
Note there's nothing there about reporting the actual news sans bias. Silly people.
