Shot to death outside of his mother's house, Shahbaz Bhatti campaigned for freedom of religion in Pakistan, and against sharia and blasphemy laws. He was the government's sole Christian. Members of Al Qaeda are believed to have been the murderers (leaflets signed "Taliban al-Qaida" were left at the scene... “With the blessing of Allah, the mujahedeen will send each of you to hell.").
Prayers for his family. May they find peace in his sacrifice.
