Palin didn't rise to the bait when Letterman derided the Alaska governor's "slutty flight attendant look" on Monday's show.Oh... so she does have a "slutty flight attendant look"? How about 'he derided her appearance as ...' such without making it seem like the description is apt.
* shakes head *
But she did object when Letterman, satirizing the Palin family's visit to New York and a Yankees game, said: "There was one awkward moment during the seventh inning stretch. Her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."Tasteless? Well, everyone seems to agree about that. Beyond that, you'll get an argument.
After Palin deemed the "knocked up" line "a sexually perverted comment" aimed at the family's 14-year-old daughter, Willow, Letterman issued a clarification of sorts, saying he was referring to 18-year-old Bristol Palin, who is an unwed mother.
Does the "journalist" go on to mention that the reason Palin "deemed" it a comment aimed at her 14-year-old was because it was her 14-year-old that was at the game? Of course not.
Also, does the writer think that the fact that Bristol is "an unwed mother" makes her a legitimate target? Such puritanism! An unwed mother? The whore!
Also, the article doesn't mention Letterman's other line about, uh, whichever daughter it might have been that was being insulted... the line about how hard it was for Sarah Palin to keep Eliot Spitzer away from her.
Eliot Spitzer. Remember him? He got busted for hiring prostitutes. Niiiice reference there, Dave. I hardly knew ya.
As for the folks at the Washington Post... I think I know them all too well. Report it as you'd like it to be.
